Each week Global Conscience has one hour for human rights education and campaigns over the Ocean City Radio Kumba airwaves (FM 88.5 MHZ). On Tuesdays from 7 p.m., Global Conscience staff and journalists of the Ocean City Radio in Kumba and other resource persons discuss human rights, governance, democracy, the rule of law, Women and Children's rights, worker's rights, prisoner's rights among other issues, and then entertain questions from the general public asked live or through electronic or other mail.
The human rights hour is very important in the Global Conscience campaigns and gives us a good opportunity to appreciate how our activities impact on the Kumba community. It also provides an opportunity for indigent populations to benefit free legal counseling to their legal problems from expert resource persons.
